  • Hold the phone flat, away from metal, magnets and laptops. If the arrow jumps, move the phone in a figure 8 a few times.
  • No compass? In Singapore the kiblat is west-north-west: at or a little to the right of where the sun sets.
  • Inside a building, steel can pull the compass off. Check against the map line and a straight wall.
